Overview
Built for the Stage Between Stages
Treatment rarely finishes in one appointment. An acrylic partial is the prosthesis that carries a patient through the middle of it — after extractions, during healing, while a definitive plan is still being staged.
We process acrylic partial dentures on a PMMA base with denture teeth and wrought wire clasps where retention is needed. Its virtue is adaptability, not rigidity.
-
Adjusts and relines: Acrylic relines as the ridge resorbs and adjusts easily chairside — exactly what a transitional prosthesis has to do.
-
Accepts added teeth: Teeth are added to the partial as further extractions occur, so the appliance keeps pace with the arch.
